Just in from a wonderful classical piano show by David Helfgott under the stars and in the bush at the Mundaring Weir Hotel.

It was WOW! Went last year (same bat time same bat channel) and met the terrific Tim and Rose. Annual reunion#1 tonight! Tims in IT but dabbling in photography and his shots are FAB! 

It seems to have been the weekend for photography- last night was spent taking in the opening night of Craig Buchanans inaugural exhibion of photography, on show at Red Dust gallery in Mt Hawthorne,  entitled "America". Sensational! Rumor has it he has won 2 awards with his first roll of film!

Having finished 2 paintings here Ive cleaned up the studio in preparation of starting new works(and remaking the mess!) on Monday...stretching up canvases tomorrow!!!!So excited to be starting something new.

Wow ! What a  wonderful time! In between finishing a couple of paintings(..deadlines are looming!)  and getting back to being covered in charcoal at regular Life drawing group again (happy happy noises ) I've been loving the Festival of Perths offerings.

Managed to catch The Sapphires (Black Swan theatre - a must-see ) Le Sept Planque della Ruse...-both just Brilliant, and last night..(thanks to a donation of a painting of ballet feet. for fundraising auctioning..)I found myself an honorary member of Friends of the Western Australian Ballet Company... and THAT meant I enjoyed a free night of cocktails and the final dress rehearsal of their new ballet "The Rite of Spring". Sitting out under the stars at the Quarry Amphitheatre last night enjoying a spectacular evening - for free!!! FANTASTIC!! You simply must catch it if you can!

Isnt this just a glorious time of year?
